Heavier weights, more strength
Maximise your strength training with this challenging weights session. Inspiration is drawn from classical strength training, weight lifting and power lifting. The weights bar is ever-present. During the warm-up, you become acquainted with the exercises. You then train giving your whole body a workout.
Skivstång maxa is ideal if you have previously trained using a weights bar and want to take your training to the next level. The session focuses on strength, technique and straightforward exercises. It’s up to you to decide how much weight you want to load onto your bar and you don’t need to keep time to the music. The leader guides you through the workout and motivates you to complete those final repetitions for each exercise.
The first part of the session focuses on heavy strength training. Each exercise is repeated, giving you the chance to really challenge yourself. In the second part of the session, you work quickly and explosively. In the concluding section, you get to maximise your stamina and endurance in a final flourish of exercises.
